On May 13, 2026, FICUS ETS contributes to the implementation of the Erasmus+ project STITCH – Sustainability Through Innovation, Training, Creativity & STEAM Horizons with a new international webinar dedicated to sustainability in education.
The session, hosted by Yıldız Technical University, focuses on a key challenge in contemporary education: how to effectively transfer real-world sustainability practices into structured learning processes within middle school environments.
The webinar brings together professionals from the public and private sectors who are actively engaged in sustainability implementation. Experts in recycling systems, zero waste strategies and environmentally responsible operational models will present concrete practices currently applied in their institutions, offering participants a grounded and practical perspective.
Building on these real-life experiences, the second part of the webinar will explore their transferability into education. The discussion will focus on how topics such as sustainable fashion, circular economy and resource management can be integrated into school curricula through STEAM-based approaches, combining interdisciplinary learning with project-based methodologies.
The initiative aims to support teachers and education professionals in moving beyond theoretical awareness towards practical implementation. By connecting industry practices with pedagogical frameworks, the webinar provides concrete tools to make sustainability an active, measurable and engaging component of teaching and learning processes.
The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers and reflect on the applicability of the proposed approaches in their own educational contexts.
