On 15 September 2026, Un’ora per Palermo Network will open the doors of its new headquarters: a shared space designed for associations, young people and all those working to create positive change across the city.
A new place can be much more than a physical venue. It can become a meeting point for people and ideas, a home for collaboration and a starting point for initiatives capable of responding to the needs of the local community.
This is the vision behind the new headquarters of Un’ora per Palermo Network, which will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday, 15 September, at Via Giuseppe Crispi 49 in Palermo.
A space for the community
The new headquarters aims to provide Palermo’s associations with a place where they can meet, exchange experiences, develop projects and strengthen cooperation.
For FICUS ETS, being part of this network means contributing to a shared commitment to social innovation, civic participation and community empowerment. Working together allows local organisations to amplify their impact and transform dialogue into concrete opportunities for the city.
Youth policies at the centre of the discussion
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a moment dedicated to the memory of Father Pino Puglisi, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the official inauguration.
The programme will continue with the public discussion:
Youth Policies in Palermo: From the Steering Committee to a Permanent Dialogue Table, Towards the Forum
Following the institutional welcome by Councillor Leonardo Canto, the discussion will bring together representatives of the municipality, civil society organisations and young people.
Speakers will include:
- Giuseppe Vitrano, Coordinator of the activities of the Youth Policies Office of the Municipality of Palermo;
- Alessia Di Francesca, representing FICUS ETS;
- Alessandro Rosselli, former President of the Provincial Student Council;
- Fabio Punzi, representing Fuori Tema.
The meeting will be moderated by Manfredi Barbaro from Un’ora per Palermo, while the concluding remarks will be delivered by Fabrizio Ferrandelli, Councillor for Youth Policies of the Municipality of Palermo.
Music by Tetra Kordes will accompany the event, creating another opportunity for people to come together and share the experience.
An invitation to participate
The inauguration is open to associations, young people, institutions and members of the local community who wish to discover the new space and contribute to the conversation about Palermo’s future.
Because meaningful change begins when people meet, listen to one another and decide to build something together.
