How does an idea become a European project capable of creating real change?
FICUS ETS is offering a new curricular or post-graduate internship opportunity in Palermo for students and graduates interested in European funding, international cooperation and project management.
Supported by an experienced tutor, the selected intern will follow a practical learning pathway covering the different stages of a European project: from identifying funding opportunities and developing partnerships to preparing proposals, monitoring activities and organising international events.
What you will learn
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in:
- researching and analysing European calls and funding opportunities;
- supporting the creation of national and international partnerships;
- contributing to the preparation of project proposals;
- drafting project documents, presentations and supporting materials;
- planning activities and monitoring deadlines;
- organising international meetings, webinars and events;
- updating project platforms and digital archives;
- collecting administrative documents and project evidence;
- supporting the monitoring and communication of project activities and results.
The internship will provide an introduction to the design and management of EU-funded initiatives, with particular attention to Erasmus+ and projects addressing education, inclusion, social innovation and sustainability.
Who we are looking for
The opportunity is aimed at students and graduates from different academic backgrounds, including:
- economics and business;
- political and social sciences;
- communication;
- languages;
- education and training;
- engineering;
- art and design;
- other relevant disciplines.
The ideal candidate should have:
- a good command of English, approximately B2–C1 level;
- an interest in European programmes and international cooperation;
- good organisational and writing skills;
- attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines;
- confidence using Microsoft Office 365 and digital collaboration tools;
- curiosity, initiative and a collaborative attitude.
Previous experience in European project management is not required. The internship is designed as a supervised learning experience for candidates who want to build practical knowledge and explore this professional field.
