FICUS ETS is pleased to share the documentary of the Erasmus+ Dancing with STEAM Study Visit, now available online. The video documents the international meeting that took place on 28 February – 1 March 2026 in Marseille, at KLAP Maison pour la Danse, representing an important milestone in the development of the project.
The Study Visit brought together 10 youth workers from Italy and France, including representatives from FICUS ETS, a partner organisation in the project. Over two intensive days, participants engaged in workshops, embodied practices, and methodological exchanges led by the artistic company CIE ESSEVÈSSE.
At the heart of the experience was the idea that dance, theatre, and movement can become powerful educational tools to explore STEAM disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics — through creative and interdisciplinary approaches.
During the activities, participants had the opportunity to:

explore embodied learning practices, using movement as a learning tool

experiment with translating scientific concepts into movement and performance

exchange educational methodologies between partner organisations

reflect on new ways to integrate performing arts into STEAM education within youth work contexts.
The documentary captures the most meaningful moments of the Study Visit, highlighting the creative process, the collaboration among participants, and the potential of performing arts as an educational language capable of making science more accessible and engaging.
This activity represents the second phase of the Dancing with STEAM project, contributing to the development of new methodologies that integrate performing arts and STEAM learning in youth work.
