The objectives of the project are:
- Raise awareness about plastic and microplastic pollution and its environmental impact
- Promote sustainable behaviors and reduce plastic consumption in daily life
- Develop green and digital skills among adult learners
- Encourage active citizenship and community engagement
- Foster behavioral change through practical and participatory learning approaches
- Build an international community committed to environmental sustainability
The project is structured around six main activities designed to combine education, action, and digital engagement:
- A1 – EcoHeroes Gamification: development of eco-missions using gamification and social media to motivate participants to adopt sustainable behaviors.
- A2 – Biohacking and Alternative Materials Workshops: practical workshops focused on creating biodegradable materials and sustainable alternatives to plastic.
- A3 – Plastic Clean-Up via Social Media: coordinated clean-up actions supported by digital tools and social media campaigns.
- A4 – Creative Challenge: EcoDesign Lab: creative labs where participants design innovative solutions to reduce plastic use.
- A5 – Digital Storytelling and Participatory Documentary: creation of multimedia content to raise awareness and document project impact.
- A6 – Digital Detox and Green Mindfulness Workshops: activities promoting environmental awareness, well-being, and sustainable lifestyles.
The results are:
- Development of 5 different eco-mission and a toolkit for replicable them at European level
- Creation of guidelines and educational materials on sustainability practices
- Production of a collaborative manual on alternative materials
- Creation of a multimedia gallery and digital content archive
- Engagement of participants as “EcoHeroes” acting as ambassadors of sustainability
- Strengthening of an international network for knowledge sharing and long-term impact
