The recording of the second webinar of the Erasmus+ project STITCH – Sustainability Through Innovation, Training, Creativity & STEAM Horizons, organised by FICUS ETS on April 24th, 2026, is now available online.
Titled “Sustainable Fashion in Action – STEAM Approaches for the Classroom”, the webinar marked a key step in the project’s development, focusing on the practical integration of sustainability into educational settings. Following the first session, which explored the impact of the fashion industry, this second webinar addressed how to translate this knowledge into structured and effective teaching practices.
During the session, FICUS ETS presented the STITCH Educational Model, based on an interdisciplinary STEAM approach and aimed at fostering competence-based learning. Particular attention was given to the Explore – Investigate – Create – Reflect learning cycle, introduced as a methodological framework to guide students from observation to critical thinking and informed action.
The webinar also emphasised practical application, presenting replicable classroom activities. Among these, the “Life Cycle of a T-shirt” case study illustrated how complex topics such as sustainable fashion can be addressed through accessible and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
The session included contributions from European partners, including Innovation Hive, further strengthening the project’s international dimension and exchange of practices.
The recording is now available online and represents a valuable resource for teachers, educators and trainers interested in integrating sustainability into their educational practices.
