On April 24th, 2026, FICUS ETS organised the second webinar of the Erasmus+ project STITCH – Sustainability Through Innovation, Training, Creativity & STEAM Horizons, reinforcing its role in promoting innovative and sustainability-oriented educational approaches.
The webinar represented a key step in the project’s development, focusing on the practical integration of sustainability within school environments. Following an initial phase dedicated to understanding the impact of the fashion industry, this session addressed the operational dimension: how to translate this knowledge into structured and effective teaching practices.
During the webinar, FICUS ETS presented the educational model developed within the project, based on an interdisciplinary STEAM approach and oriented towards competence-based learning. Particular attention was given to the design of replicable learning pathways capable of integrating science, technology, creativity and active citizenship.
A central element of the session was the Explore – Investigate – Create – Reflect learning cycle, introduced as a practical methodological tool to guide students through a progressive learning process, from observation to critical reflection and informed action.
The webinar also placed strong emphasis on practical application. Concrete classroom activities were presented to support teachers and educators in integrating sustainability into their curricula. Among these, the “Life Cycle of a T-shirt” case study demonstrated how complex topics can be addressed through accessible and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
The session also included contributions from European partners, including Innovation Hive, which shared practices and experiences developed in other educational contexts, strengthening the international dimension of the project.
Through this initiative, FICUS ETS continues to support educational models that connect learning with real-world challenges, fostering more sustainable and conscious approaches within schools and communities.
