FICUS ETS is offering a new curricular and extracurricular internship opportunity at its office in Palermo. The position is intended for students and graduates interested in language education, intercultural learning and the inclusion of people with a migrant background.
Under the supervision of a tutor, the selected candidate will support the planning and implementation of Italian as a Second Language (L2) activities, contributing to the development of accessible learning pathways tailored to participants’ different needs.
Main activities
The intern will support the FICUS ETS team with:
- preparing educational materials for learning Italian;
- assisting during lessons, workshops and practical exercises;
- organising conversation and language-facilitation activities;
- adapting learning materials to participants’ levels and needs;
- welcoming and guiding participants from other countries;
- organising intercultural activities and opportunities to discover the local area;
- monitoring participation and learning progress;
- preparing attendance records, questionnaires and evaluation materials.
Candidate profile
The opportunity is primarily addressed to students and graduates in education, training, pedagogy or related fields.
Candidates should also have:
- at least an intermediate knowledge of Spanish, equivalent to B1 level;
- a good command of Microsoft Office 365;
- an interest in language education, intercultural learning and social inclusion;
- good interpersonal, organisational and teamwork skills.
