The Erasmus+ project “EcoHeroes: Join the Plastic-Free Revolution” officially enters its operational phase with the launch of the first international Eco-Missions involving adults aged 30–40 from Italy, Bulgaria and Malta. 🌍♻️
In recent days, the project partners gathered for the monthly international meeting, where they finalised the activities of the first project phase dedicated to gamification and active participant engagement.
Over the past months, the partners collaboratively carried out a local context analysis in the three participating countries and developed 15 Eco-Missions designed to help participants better understand the impact of plastic and microplastic pollution in everyday life while transforming environmental awareness into concrete action.
The Eco-Missions will officially start on 7 June 2026 and will involve 14 participants from each country in a 5-week journey based on practical challenges, creative activities, reflection moments and online sharing experiences.
Every week, participants will receive a new mission to complete: reducing plastic consumption, analysing everyday products, experimenting with sustainable alternatives, joining creative activities and sharing results through digital tools and collaborative actions. 📸✨
The Participant Rule Book has also been finalised, containing all the gamification rules, scoring systems, bonus challenges and participation mechanisms that will guide participants throughout the entire experience.
EcoHeroes promotes a practical, creative and participatory approach to environmental education through activities such as:
- Eco-Missions and weekly challenges
- Biohacking & Sustainable Materials Workshops
- Clean-Up Actions
- EcoDesign Labs
- Digital Storytelling and participatory documentaries
- Green Mindfulness Workshops
The project aims to support adults in developing green and digital competences while encouraging more sustainable behaviours and strengthening the sense of belonging to a European community committed to fighting plastic pollution.
