FICUS ETS at Education for Climate Day 2025

Yesterday, FICUS ETS participated online in Education for Climate Day 2025, the flagship event of the Education for Climate Coalition dedicated to innovative research, green inspiration and transformative learning.

This year’s theme, “Education for Climate: Learning to Prepare”, focused on the role of education in fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience in the face of climate change, with special attention to the European EU Preparedness Union strategy. The event brought together educators, students, policymakers and innovators to share ideas, experiences, and concrete projects from across Europe.

Key highlights for FICUS ETS included:

  • Innovative school projects, such as those addressing plastic and microplastic management, demonstrate how young generations can become active protagonists in sustainability.

  • The panel on STEAM and sustainability, which explored how scientific, technological, and creative skills can be integrated into education to address to environmental challenges—an area closely aligned with FICUS ETS’s project initiatives.

Participation in Education for Climate Day 2025 reinforces FICUS ETS’s commitment to promoting innovative and sustainable educational pathways that empower citizens to face future environmental challenges with awareness and preparedness.
