The second newsletter of STITCH – Sustainability Through Innovation, Training, Creativity & STEAM Horizons is now online, bringing together the latest news, activities and achievements of the European partnership.
Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme under project number 2025-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000353351, STITCH promotes innovative approaches to sustainability education by connecting fashion, circular economy principles, creativity and STEAM disciplines.
Turning sustainability into learning experiences
STITCH is developing educational resources and practical activities designed primarily for lower-secondary school students aged 11–14 and their teachers.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the project encourages young people to explore the environmental and social impact of fashion, understand the value of materials and resources, and develop the knowledge and skills needed to make more responsible choices.
The second newsletter offers an overview of the progress made by the partnership and presents the initiatives implemented to engage schools, educators and other stakeholders across the participating countries.
The next international webinar
One of the main highlights of this edition is the announcement of the project’s sixth international webinar:
“From Awareness to Action: Engaging Young People in the Circular Economy”
The event will take place online on 6 October 2026 at 3:00 p.m. CEST and will be organised by the Estonian project partner TKVG.
The webinar will explore practical approaches to involving young people in the circular economy and supporting them in transforming environmental awareness into meaningful everyday actions.
It will provide an opportunity for teachers, educators and other interested stakeholders to reflect on how sustainability can be addressed through participatory and engaging educational experiences.
FICUS ETS and the STITCH journey
As a partner in the STITCH project, FICUS ETS contributes to the development of educational content and innovative methodologies that bring together sustainability, technology, creativity and social responsibility.
Our work within the project reflects our commitment to promoting inclusive learning experiences that help young people understand contemporary environmental challenges and become active participants in the transition towards more sustainable communities.
This second newsletter represents another important milestone in the STITCH journey and an opportunity to discover the progress achieved so far and stay informed about the project’s upcoming activities.
