On 19 and 20 October 2026, the STITCH partners met in Istanbul for the project’s third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM3). The meeting was hosted by Yıldız Technical University (YTU) at its Davutpaşa Campus, bringing the partnership together for two days of discussion and collaborative work.
The first day focused on Work Package 2, which aims to develop teacher training resources on sustainable fashion. Partners reviewed the status of the questionnaires and webinars, discussed the development of the STITCH Hub, and examined the structure of the learning units and their translations. The Digital Toolkit was also presented, featuring practical classroom resources such as lesson plans, simulations and educational games.
In the afternoon, the partners visited İTKİB – Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association, exploring the links between the textile industry, innovation and sustainability. The day continued with a visit to the university facilities and a shared reflection on the topics discussed.
The second day focused on Work Package 3, which provides training for students on sustainable fashion and STEAM skills development. Partners discussed the structure of the workshops and the practical activities planned, including exploring sustainable materials, upcycling and digital tools for fashion. The session also provided an opportunity to plan the next international learning activity for students.
During the day, FICUS ETS presented the project’s dissemination and exploitation plan. The partners then discussed project management, quality monitoring and the next milestones: the seventh webinar, the fourth transnational meeting and upcoming activities for students.
STITCH aims to raise awareness among lower secondary school students about the environmental impact of fashion and the circular economy, while integrating STEAM education. Through teacher training, student workshops and the development of educational resources, the project seeks to promote digital and technological skills, more responsible consumption and sustainability initiatives in schools and communities.
STITCH – Sustainability Through Innovation, Training, Creativity & STEAM Horizons is an Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in school education, coordinated by the University of Palermo and implemented by an international partnership.
